Online reputation managers monitor social media sites to identify negative content that is posted about their clients. They use a combination of public relations and technical skills to eliminate this content (or at least force it to appear lower in search results) and promote content (news articles, blogs, Tweets, Facebook and Linked posts, etc.) that presents a positive image of their client.

Online reputation management (ORM) is about monitoring and improving how your business is viewed online. It means looking and analysing what a potential customer, reporter, or partner will discover about your brand, your people, or your product/service when they perform a Google search. Search engine management is also a key responsibility of ORM so as to counter negative search results.

•   Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
•   Develop organizational elements in order to implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal customer online reviews.
•   Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
•   Implement ongoing education to key stakeholders to remain highly effective.
•   Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. Report notable threats to appropriate management.
•   Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.
•   Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
•   Spotting opportunities to generate positive social media coverage and managing social media at events and initiatives.
•   Social Media listening & Online Reputation Management for prospects, new customers and booked customers as well as generating and presenting actionable insights to maintain a positive sentiment for the brand.

Online Reputation Manager Required Skills


•   5+ years of experience in Social Media Management and/or digital marketing management in a fast paced environment.
•   Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and appl5+ years of experience in Social Media Management and/or digital marketing management in a fast paced environment.

•   Experience in leveraging social media with consumer support, and working with consumer support teams.
•   Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
